WJW WJW was originally founded in 1979 by William J. Wright when great changes started to occur in the trucking industry. Mr. Wright recognized the opportunity that deregulation would present and so he began WJW Associates as a small, transportation agency, incorporating it in 1980. In 1989, Griff Williams joined Mr. Wright after a successful career at Yellow Trucking. A short while later, Mr. Albert Morgan joined WJW and under the leadership of Mr. Morgan and Mr. Williams, WJW started to grow its services to meet the needs of its customers. Mr. Wright exited WJW shortly after Mr. Morgan joined the company and the small agency started its conversion to a full-service logistics company.

The first step in the transition from a small agency to a full-fledged logistics provider began when WJW Associates, LTD acquired its own brokerage license. Prior to that, WJW would act as the agent for larger brokerage and trucking companies. By acquiring its own license, the company was able to retain a greater share of the profits and gain greater control of the services it provided. Shortly after WJW acquired its brokerage license, the company realized it needed to gain its contract authority to provide the higher level of service it expected. Once contract authority was established, WJW began a quick climb into stronger and stronger revenue territories.

In 1996, WJW opened its first remote location in Medina, NY, to service the Rochester and Buffalo markets. This was followed in 2002 by opening a location in Jacksonville, FL to pursue opportunities in the growing Southeast market.

In 2003, Griff Williams and Al Morgan met Kyle Fresh and David Misiuta. Kyle and David had a small consulting company, KDF Management LLC. Through a series of meetings and discussions, Kyle and David agreed to join WJW Associates, LTD to help it meet its goals in the Southeast as well as add new leadership to the company. Kyle and David became WJW employees and in 2006, became equal partners in the company. In July of 2008, Kyle became President of WJW and David became the Vice-President, reflecting their leadership roles within the company.

WJW looks forward to writing more of its own history as it develops solutions to the challenges of its customers. Its belief in the people, culture and service of WJW will provide ample opportunities for growth well into the future.
